Veronica & John Leslie | This individual took over from Ms B Gibbons in our case. He rang me at home to tell me any forms I wanted to see I could see them in his office. When my husband & I visited his offices we saw copies of the IT 38 forms submitted to the Revenue Commissioners which I had been requesting all along. The figures submitted by Ms B Gibbons of the same practice were incorrect AND WERE NOT SIGNED BY US AT THAT TIME. He (Mr Kilrane) sent further IT 38 forms to us for the remainder of the Inheritance Tax due we were not paying any more. MY FILE WAS CLOSED IN THE REVENUE COMMISSIONERS, WHO WERE THE RECEIVERS OF THIS MONEY GOING TO BE? I have written to the Incorporated Law Society Mr K Murphy, a waste of time they should be re-named the 'Agreement Board' a waste of Tax Payers money keeping these people in positions to agree with lies, collusion, corruption, and robbery. I wrote to the Revenue Commissioners and explained in detail the incorrect details submitted etc, no action taken, it appears they are all singing from the one hymn sheet. It is long past time for an Independent Ombudsman to police these corrupt Solicitors. A lot more to follow in this case. |

PB | He is certainly superb when he takes an interest in your case which is unfortunately not always the case. I was very disappointed in the service received. He is very difficult to talk to for one thing. As for reasonable prices, that is quite simply not true. He is very expensive. This is fine if you are getting a service and result. No one minds paying for good service. However his high fees are very annoying when all along the service is shoddy and you simply cannot trust him to deal with your case adequately. On any level, I would not trust this solicitor and would not recommend this office to anyone. I had done so on one or two previous occasions after earlier dealings had been satisfactory but was embarrassed when my friends reported to me how they had been dealt with. |

KL | In regard to Kieran Lynch's last comments, he must not know that the said John Ellis was ONE of three directors of a company that went into Liquidation, and that John Ellis honoured ALL his debts from his own PERSONAL finances, as the company that he was a director of had nothing left, through bad business dealings, etc... and Mr. Ellis was at the time a T.D. and was not, and never was involved in the day to day running of this business. With regards to Mr. Kilrane, he has acted for me in the past in the few times that I was involved in the courts, and he is a brilliant solicitor, and always has been. I could not but highly recommend him to anyone. |

Good solicitor or not, Kevin Kilrane is not honest in his financial dealings with his clients. As regards his reputation for "brilliance" that is all very well until he repeatedly messes your case and you are saddled with the costs of his messing about as happened to me. You might be lucky and get the result you want, but if it is consistent efficiency you are looking for avoid this office. | |

Never in his office when you ring, or so his secretary tells you... lucky if he attends court with you... a play-actor more than a man of legal wit... generally uses his "knowledge" to fleece his unsuspecting clients... had my mother in tears with frustration... not hesitant at forwarding his, I felt, exorbitant bill... left wondering what my mother was paying for... am considering approaching the Law Society, could someone please let me know if this is a waste of time or do people like Mr Kilrane get away with this type of behaviour. |

Whenever I rang his office, he was out... as soon as case was finalised, his fat check from my case entered his bank account... I found Mr Kilrane to be less than helpful... very very expensive, and at no stage flagged the costs to me... Regarding his staff, I'd merely refer to comments made on this page prior to me (although I have no doubt they are told to do by Mr Kilrane)...a poor service...an average solicitor who'll charge you the world for as little as possible... there are good solicitors out there, you just have to look hard and be sure they advise you of the costs at all times... avoid this individual. |

John Gill | At 7.04 this evening 16-4-2008 two Leitrim victims of Solicitor Kevin P Kilrane phoned their Donegal colleagues who in turn phoned this office to inform us that Fianna Fail has promoted their Election Agent Solicitor Kevin P Kilrane, a crooked solicitor from County Leitrim, to the Bench in County Donegal. On hearing of the appointment, the Donegal VLPS were so disgusted that they have decided to take action without delay, which details will appear on this website in the near future. It was suggested that a group of Kilrane's victims from Roscommon, Leitrim, Donegal and Sligo meet with other Victims of the Legal Profession to plan a strategy and/or a means of exposing the contempt that Fianna Fail have for the people of Donegal and demand that they reverse this appalling decision before it's too late, especially when the Government are aware of the extent of complaints against this character. Where are the Green Party in all of this? Where are the ethical standards in all of this? How much more Corruption will the people of Ireland tolerate? |

If ye were astute enough, and were knowledgeable about law ye would not be doing it online which everyone can source. Talking about land maps, other solicitors, and feuds and so on. As regards the actual subject, Mr. Kilrane is as judicious as you will get. If you provide him with adequate information and actually communicate your problem in a comprehensive manner, he will do his best for you and go that extra step. By the way, he is not God and he can't wave a wand and solve a case. Every case is unique and takes time, and I am sure he has always the latest law book beside him, as Irish law, whether it be constitutional or family law, is changing all the time. To sum up, he is an honest, capable solicitor who will do his best. |

I'm from Sligo but a friend of mine in Leitrim had a brother who died in the last 2-3 years. Kilrane tried to bully my friend into signing papers ensuring that my friend would cover the costs of his deceased brother's debts. Thank God my friend had the sense not to trust him and know exactly what he was signing into. From reading people's comments on this page, it is typical of FF to be at this carry on. It's so sad that the majority of people in Ireland still support the hoares. I know a local business man in the area who faces losing his whole business over one John J McNulty, the new solicitor in town. Apparently the cases are straightforward enough, but this office has demanded a small fortune to go ahead with them, and I believe that this man has already paid a 5 figure deposit, and McNulty got to the steps of the court house and stopped, demanding another 5 figure sum or else he was going to get judgment passed against this man. When the local business man refused to pay and challenged McNulty for overcharging, McNulty rang the local gardai and told them that this local man threatened to shoot him. I know for a fact that the local business man in question does not even have a gun, and he is not a bluffer builder either, he is a long standing man in the community and an employer who is now suffering badly with his nerves over the money he is owed and now the guards harassing him over this. The man could be found hanging from a tree and what will McNulty have to say then? Maybe he might look to read the will. I personally think McNulty is a dirty little round sh*thouse, and he needs to realise that he is not in Foxford now. |

message to leitrim | there is one thing for certain there may be a dispute over the court sittings for ballinamore in carrick, but this mungrol kilrane cannot sit as a judge in leitrim as much as he likes to think he can. reason being that in my solicitor ever took on a case against me after representing me the case would be trown out of court ,as it would be proven a moral unjust to the defendant, and with kilranes reputation around leitrim for being a cowboy, then every case brought before him will be thrown out on a technicality/loop hole, that he may or may not have represented or had some connection to the defendant in every case. it makes sense if its looked into properly, and no law can over come this ,meaning that any warrant ,fine or sentence imposed on anyone in this court room by kevin kilrane is void/invalid and not recognised. meaning that his position on the bench is no longer required or requested, leaving him with no other choice but stand down and do us all justice. this would be the right way of doing things however we do live in the republic of ireland where magic tricks are pulled out of bales of silage at rates of 10 a minute. but somebody needs to stand up to this little man and tell him that his position is unatennable. |

bernard mcdonagh | Dear.robbie.you say that you know my family and you know me.i take that as a threat.let me tell you robbie.i know who you are and i am not worried about you or any body.let me tell you robbie you think you know me.i can tell you that you only know a bit of me. and dont ever cross me or my family.i will voice my opinion any time i like.you have some cheek.why are you and every body else so angry with kevin .(judge)a man who makes an honest living and worked hard the best part of his life representing members of the public.i know kevin a long time and he does every thing by the book.and if he was still a solicitor i would still have no heisatation going to him for legal aid.kevin was a fantastic solicitor .very technical when cross examing witnesses in the box and getting people to make mistakes so he could get his clients off.so i really dont understand why people are angry with him.i wish him the best of luck in his job as a judge.people who are angry with him should cop them selfs on and get a life..i will always back him up no matter what people say about him. as for my self robbie.i will have my degree in law in a short while.i am doing a home study course .and am doing well.and i then will be self enployed.i would not depend on any one for work .kevin keep up the good work as a judge bernard mcdonagh. |

MW | Awful judge, decisions will always favour his cohorts, surely shouldn't be making judgements so close to home. Mind is made up before almost all cases have begun. Shows almost a complete lack of respect for justice. Clear case of who you know. |

to bernard mc donagh | its great to see that since gerry kilrane got into the council, the council has rolled out broadband to all the local halting sites. bernard you forget that its my taxes that funds your halting site, your dole , your abandoned wives allowance ,your FREE LEGAL AID and everything else you lot leech off the state. i would deem your contribution towards kevin kilranes criminal acheviements unrecognised. as i said before when you get a proper job and stop leeching off the state.then you may contribute, but licking up to a criminal on a website just to keep yourself out of jail for robbing the rest of us at night when we sleep is totally out of the question bernard, and my name is not robbie |

AR | Couldn't get to speak with the new principal John McNulty - made several telephone calls and none were returned. Finally called into the office to see if I could place my business in person - no one at the "reception desk", stood for a few minutes - still no one - finally left the premises and found another solicitor in Carrick who gladly saw me at a moment's notice - now that's what I call service! Have found out through the grapevine that recently Kilranes have made redundancies - I'm not surprised! |
