Joe Maguire & Family Law - My experiences will be posted here in order to set the record straight. I am an unmarried father with 8yr old son. Ex-partner recently left with our kid refusing access, no communication or co-operation on any matter (in fact the opposite!) So after giving the ex some space and time to stew and hopefully come to her senses (wasn’t much chance of it to be honest) we are at the solicitor stage! Bring on the bitterness and hatred instead of being reasonable about things. Enter Joe Maguire - acting for me to get access and guardianship of my son. Details to follow.;

The crook Joe Maguire was the man the women of Bray used to run to in the 80s; men had no jobs and welfare was a better option for many a woman but without the father. Maguire used to specialise in getting married men barred from their homes and made a fortune from putting those men on the streets, it's hard to believe the amount of marriages Maguire helped to break up. He also was well in with the guards who were ordered to obey HIM and arrest a man who tried often to see his own children. Joe Maguire should be barred from practicing law. I think he spells justice as follows.. JUSTUS, which means he is a horrible individual who is a disgrace to any sort of justice system in the country. |

Joe Maguire is not a fit person to practice law, and in particular Family Law. He strung a simple family law case on and on and on for a total of 24 years, he left my 3 children at the mercy of their alcoholic mother and in spite of a Circuit Court Order granted to their father in 1987 also permitted a convicted embezzler to enter the family home. Maguire was taken to task in Bray divorce court in November 2007 and lambasted by the judge of the day. Maguire is now involved in collaborativelaw.ie - a new group set up to ease the strain of family breakdown, or so they tell us. Maguire was cleared to practice with collaborativelaw.ie by none other than Judge Catherine McGuinness, who must need her head examined and her position as a member of the judiciary must be called into question. Stay miles away from Joe "Liar" Maguire if you wish to keep your family safe from alcoholics and convicted embezzlers. He is no use and I ought to know. That's why he is known to his legal friends as "Liar Maguire". |

I first met joe maguire circa summer of 84 ,we will never forget 1984 Josie will we , went to court and he actually succeded in making a bo**oz of the case . Went back to court some weeks later and the judge awarded me what i employed maguire to obtain initially , I then got the 'award' via a third party and when i went into maguires office he was ready to write me a chickens neck, i simply told him i dropped in to pay the bill of 85 irish pounds, worse fool me as i could have said nowt and walked off with maguires check also, i knew he was having problems so i felt sorry for him and paid my bill and left . I should have seen the writing on the wall there and then as to how incompentent he actually was/is .from what i hear of maguire now he is simply not getting the biz, and i salute this site for giving the ordinary people a platform from which to voice one's concerns and fears of joe maguire, never to be trusted . |

My sources inform me that this is Gospel. Bring it on Rory and make certain Joe is up to it because as sure as night turns to day he is fighting for his commercial life . This case is far from over and well you know it as Liar Knows only too well what he is dealing with HERE .Maguire is a wreck due to the truthful postings thus far and we await the tsunami of cases coming down the mountain. I have used Maguire McNeice for 12 years now and I have found them excellent. I have recommended them to family and friends and they have all had similar experiences. In that time I have never put a call through to Joe where has hasn't got back to me and I found Edel O'Brien extremely thorough in her dealings with various conveyancing matters.I know people who have bad solicitors and I can assure you these people are not in that category. At my first appearance in Bray District Court on the 4th of September 1984 i was facing a charge of 'common assault',I was then called to answer my tormenters and it was then the Liar Maguire began his 'tactical methods' by saying and i quote 'Michael if you tell Judge Frank Johnston that poor Maria Concepta went drinking and left A alone then He will make an order to have YOUR children taken into care',So in i went to the open court and the common assault charge was struck out BUT then i was ushered into the Kangaroo Court and with no legal advice available (see posting on Joe Buckley Sept '84 fone hugging antics) i was barred from the home i had bought and renovated to a higher standard than it was when i first bought it for £25,750 inc stamp duty ,and with an £11,000 mortgage from the First National Building Society (see posting on Eddie O'Beirne)in August 1980. The Liar had begun his evil work of which he was involved in a cover up for many years to come .Maria Concepta Had got her way and could now continue her 'days of wine and roses' and her single way of life was to take a dramatic turn for the worse for her children and her fan club. Liar Maguire was a big hit with the Greystones Bookie and his family ,I spent 13 nights in an open shelter on Bray Seafront penniless and homeless until a friend Jack Kennedy got to hear of my situation from a Garda who met me one night as he was on patrol.The Garda gave me £20 out of his own pocket to get something to eat as i had no address and therefore No Dole. The Bookies hidden agenda ,ably assisted By Liar Maguire was in full swing and The Bookie and his Mayo Born Wife made it their business to drive around by car with their Prima Donna Eldest Daughter invading my relatives homes and their own relatives also to make their Daughter look the innocent party while i shivered away in a shelter on Bray Seafront from September 4th to September 17th 1984 until i found accomadation thus being in a position to make a claim for dole payments to my person.Thats the way the Liar likes to operate and he could not have found a more vicious family of hypocrites in which to 'twin' his ideals with ,You could say they found each other .Strange things were ongoing with that family of parasites long before they put plan A into operation ,But i survived and have lived to tell the tale ,And it aint over yet i can assure you of that Folks Not by a long shot, Wait till we get to Hollands and the Jasmine House episode of September 1985 ,Starring as the Alcoholic ##### OF THE YEAR the one and only Maria Concepta . I Have dealt with Joe Maguire on 5 previous occasions . i have never gotten the full monty in regards to money i was due .My partner left some capital as well as property in my name to be used as we saw fit.I must say i will never ask Joe to act for me again. We trusted him and he short changed us in the long run.He knows the full story ,he ought to as he shunned me so many times it is unreal.Hope you read this Joe and you will get your due desserts in Time. I have the courage to speak or say what i want to say and your son is turning out just like you. Given the true facts, by comments i have posted in relation to my experience with 'The Family Solicitor' i would have no reason to believe He has not had the 'criminal mind' to put the fingers up to The Judges, in spite of what They have previously ruled on, How dare He Ignore Our Learned Friends by which He continuesly held in contempt and went upon His route of which has now become a Cul-de-Sac of no return. By ignoring said Judges Orders He has placed many a family in an intolerable situation and is therefore , By His Own Hand, a Scoundrel who is Not To Be Trusted under any circumstances..

Must be something seriously not right with the company when you have to keep going back to court, or so he kept telling us.We never did complete our initial inquiry as we lost the plot halfway through. All to do with transfer of ownership which would have dragged out due to other party living abroad. Our family know of maguire .When we were kids he got our father barred from our house in bray,We then had to watch the comings and goings of mothers friends who my father detested and would never have tolerated them in the first place. Justice Frank Johnston , Sept '88, Boghall Court, apoligised and said in court 'Mr B, 'You can sue ME,The Gardai ,The Dept of Justice etc
and ''I Unconditionlly apologise for the HARM I HAVE CAUSED TO YOU''.
Johnston had obviously researched the 1987 'Divorce-e-mensa-thoro' and discovered the true facts AND COURT ORDER as laid down by Judge TF ROE. My reply to johnston was of 'Just let me out of this kangaroo court'. Little did i know many years later not only was the convicted embezzler entering the family home , in spite of Judge TF ROE'S Circuit Court Order ,He was also residing there, He then went on to organize a Stroke Club and had promo material in circulation using the address to which he was prohibited from entering;

I see what clients are saying about the service on offer i really do .Just think what it must have been like for certain people who placed trust in them and then found themselves without a roof over their heads today..I know when my partner and myself inquired about a solicitor for conveyincing matters before we bought our present home we were advised to go to Maguire/Mc.Neice initially and we ended up getting a quote of £1250 + vat from the firm to go ahead .The builder had some arrangement with them but we expected a smaller price and decided to deal elsewhere..So glad we did as i dont like these multi companys who are Jacks of All Trades and Masters of none.Thats all behind us and we are 12 years living here now. We have mentioned these unsavoury characters to our parents and they upon reading the comments are still flabbergasted as to how on earth we have solicitors like them .Thats all we have to say . |

Dealt with them when they had an office beside Big Bray Church, I wanted a separation but they wanted to make a monumental case out of my sad situation so i left and went to councelling instead .I do not like the people they are connected with and i dont like the way they sneered at my alcohol problem . I have not touched a drink in 14 years now Thanks be to God. All they seemed to advise is A Barring order against my husband and i was the one who caused the family breakdown , I feel they are just after your money as they were certainly more interested in going to court at the time... Should be called parasites and should be ashamed of their past history of placing people on the streets. |

ROE,President of The Circuit Court (Eastern Circuit)
during a hearing on 13th April 1987, If that situation arose ,and i have no reason to disbelieve what i have read in connection with the case of 1987, and you find yourself in a similiar spot of bother then what redress are you likely to have to turn to, 'They say' they will sit down and discuss your case & take it from there ,But 'They also say' should you not enter into a peaceful separation THEN the only option is A Court Case involving an Eminent Judge, and here's the cruncher ,Given the reasons as to why the Gentleman is posting his comments in relation to Judge T.F.ROE (1987) why should anyone believe a word The Liar Maguire says, If He can put his two fingers up to The President of The Circuit Court ,And leave 3 children in danger ,contrary to Judge T.F.ROE's Circuit Court Order then what would any Judges Court Order, in the future, mean to couples who take The Liar Maguire at his word (WHAT WORD,HE DOES'NT HAVE A WORD OF TRUTH IN HIS BODY)So therefore i would suggest you go elsewhere and find a reputable solicitor that when he says something he can be believed...

Michael Bradshaw put that roof over Mick Keatings daughter's head and ended up being put out because she is no good and never was,He is a hard worker but they took every thing away from him they persecuted Michael every chance they got,They then went down to the guards and told more lies to get Michael into more trouble simply because they are so vindicitive and they wanted to cover up their daughters erratic behaviour .They even told lies to joe maguire who like a fool believed every word they told him and look at the awful trouble joe is in today..I happen to have first hand knowledge of this dreadful case and i know how those keatings work, they had a habit of telling lies to suit themselves all the time and another thing their eldest one they called Maria was drinking as young as 14 years of age ,I used to see her with both her father and mother when they brought her down to the cabaret in the old International hotel and that was in the 60s.
The Keatings manipulate people for their own ends and look at the people they have dragged into this, A marriage destroyed by lies and a youngish solicitor up to his neck in trouble because of the callous way in which he was fooled into believing what the keatings made him believe.
They ,the keatings even went over to loughlinstown hospital to buy a house from a Mr Donnely who was a patient there in the early 70s and lived in the same house in the vevay for years,imagine going to a man in a hospital bed for to buy his house off him..I have been readind up on this case for weeks and have decided to write in to let you know what i knew for ages,Thank you . |

He sold his abode on O'Byrne Road, Bray, He then purchased A Building Known as 'The Home Market' in the Vevay circa 1968 which was to house 2 shops and his family until circa 1973, He by then had planning permission granted for a public house, He then sold it to a gentleman local builder Mr Sean Nolan who was a great employer of local tradesmen ,Sean pulled the old building down much to old Micks distaste & used His own plans to build a succesful public house which still trades to this day. OLd Mick left Fianna Fail when he had gotten all he wanted from his connections within and for years continued to critisize F.F. after USING them for his own personal finacial gain; He continued also with his betting office in Greystones until his latter years and passed same onto his son of the same name; He thought nothing of running to Mass and then to his Bookies office to open his doors to the public; He was the most 'vile person' i have ever had the displeasure of meeting. So which takes us to Old Mick and The Liar Maguire, Joe Maguire is the Son of a schoolteacher who was employed in Presentation College situated on The Putland Road, Bray ,Mr Maguire Snr was a thorough gentleman and i know what i am talking about. Old Mick Keating covered up for His Eldest Daughter for YEARS and would have wished she had 'met' someone of a 'professional' nature, He bullied Michael Bradshaw and sneered at the chap when he cotracted Ankylosing Spondylitis at the age of just 24 years , He would completely ignore Michael Bradshaw and Michael stayed out of His way for years rarely having anything to do with his in-laws whatsoever..Michael worked for years in Rathgar and eventually Bray and thats where his illness, of ANK SPON,became worse , This allowed old Mick Keating to Verbally abuse Michael which He ignored and just kept on looking after His Family; His (O.M.K.) eldest prima donna is a mini me of O.M.K. and when 'the time was right' the 2 of them set Michael up , Then along came The Liar Maguire who was a blessing in disguise and who listened, like a fool, and Obeyed where the money was 'coming from', He,The Liar Maguire, done what the money told him to do ,And Then arrived 'The Embezzler' ,A dream come true for O.M.K. and Prima Donna eldest daughter as The Embezzler was 'In Insurance' much to the 'families delight' and was worshipped UNTIL he was 'found out' to be ' not suitable' DEAR. I happened to be a 'member of the public' in Bray court last Friday week to witness Maguire 'doin his thing'..It is my first time to witness him 'in the flesh' so to speak, I attended said court with a picture of Maguire i downloaded from His Website so i kind of knew what to expect..Unfortunately i cannot and will not comment on his 3 only cases but what i will report is this...
If ever i have seen a solicitor going through his daily chores with 'something on his mind' it is him, Other solicitors who were also present seemed to sneer at his efforts of communicating with the Judge on duty..What a spectacle he has suddenly become. A beautiful courthouse set in idylic surroundings with a well managed area of offices etc to which Bray should be so proud.
The court house is situated off the main street of Bray and a coffee shop is also within as is a Social Welfare office and an 'assortment of others' ,ample car parking facilities exist for the discerning motorist who has no wish to become another defendant to line the pockets of such solicitors as The Liar Maguire,; I expect to re-visit Bray Court in the merry month of november not as a defendant just as an observer of rogue solicitors.

They also informed me of some friends who used him to rid the family of their Dad, I never knew the full facts of the in camera courts except to say they were used by women when it suited their

I have to add my piece of information and to support Michael.
For many years i witnessed the sheer terror carried out by Justice Frank Johnston and Joe Maguire during their cosy cases in Boghall Road Courthouse.
To say i was outraged is to say the least, I witnessed so many men being forced from their own home as a result of Joe Maguire applying for Barring Orders against men who owned their own homes.. i am not in a position to reveal my full identity let me say i was 'in the know' and the sheer terror carried out by those pair of troublemakers beggars belief..
This 'law' was introduced in 1976 to assist women to put their men on the street and nothing else. The court consisted of a small room in which a 5 minute 'hearing' instantly made a man homeless and with no redress.An appeal to the circuit court in Wicklow was pointless for the man, of that i know for sure. They had all the characteristics of a kangaroo court to which they ought to have been ashamed of themselves. I know of dozens if not hundreds of men who literally had nowhere to go after Johnston and Maguire had gotten their way ,Lots of men just up and left and went to England in search of work and many were never to return EVER.Some remained in Bray living in flats just to keep in touch with their children.. I again cannot reveal these figures however i have to go on record to say that once a barring order was as much as applied for the chances of beating an application was very slim indeed given the spurious reasons involved. If the Gardai became involved in the most trivial of family matters then i am afraid it was curtains for the receipient of such an order. Gardai were encouraged to become involved to the extent of believing they were helping a bad situation .The people behind most of these sordid applications were the wive's of course but Maguire was the instigator of such and was never out of the courts on fridays sittings for as long as memory serves. It was a dreadful situation caused by outsiders also who had their own hidden agenda to up their political profile come hell or high water.. I am delighted to read comments in regard to a part of Bray History to which has been kept in the dark for decades.. I Knew Michael and i know he was a fighter of injustice as far back as 1984. i hope he is well today as he seems to have got this site moving in the right direction to expose the sheer corruption that has taken place in Bray due to Joe Maguire and Justice Frank Johnston and their decades of horrendous horror which has blighted this lovely town in the name of so called 'justice'.

How has he been allowed to get away with this criminal conduct for so long is a mystery to me.. My brother-inlaw- is a small builder who often recommended Joe to His first time buyers and He said the same buyers were always left waiting for legal stuff for way too long. One Nurse nearly lost the house until My Brother-in-law intervened out of desperation. She did in all honesty complete the sale but only just ahead of the deadline. |

I met a gentleman in The Royal Hotel who told me so much irritating stuff about Mr Maguire and Company i just felt ill at the thought. From reading these comments, it seems to me, a large proportion of them were posted by individuals whose partners used Joes services, not those who actually used his services themselves. If these women were describing themselves as victims, wouldn't Joe be bound to try and help them? If a mother chooses to leave the father, I'm not sure how it's the solicitor's fault.
If you have had a bad experience with him, fair enough, "avoid."
But I think the comments mentioning his children are grossly out of line, and quite frankly, deplorable.

My comments on Justin McCarthy Dublin. Sent a local solicitor from Bray called Joe Maguire (lazy bastard didn't go himself) on the 10th of December 2007 to prevent me from seeing my sons. I had two court cases listed for the 11th of December 2007, they lied to the judge and had my applications put back to February 2008, meaning I would not get to see my children over Christmas. I informed the court clerk what they did was illegal and had my applications put back on. I got to see my sons before Christmas. Now February 2010 and he is in contempt of a High Court order, now in court to have him sanctioned. My name is Seán Carraher and I have nothing to hide.
